Cardiff University Paediatrics Society
Cardiff University Paediatric Society (CUPS) is a multi-disciplinary student society for students with an interest in child health and well-being at Cardiff University. We welcome students from all courses to explore and encourage a future career in paediatrics.
Throughout the year we offer opportunities for learning, teaching, volunteering and fundraising. This year we hosted our very first South West Medical Schools Paediatric Conference alongside Bristol, Exeter and Plymouth Paediatric Societies in February. We are also currently planning our Paediatric Specialties Series which will run through April and May, with many great Paediatricians speaking about their speciality. Join for a great insight into specialities within Paediatrics!
We also have a number of volunteering projects which run throughout the year, and are currently running virtually. These include:

We also have a number of volunteering projects which run throughout the year, and are currently running virtually. These include:
- Asthma Aware is a community-based scheme where volunteers visit local schools and youth clubs in South Wales to teach young children about Asthma.
- Flamingo Chicks gives children with disabilities and illnesses, such as cancer, a chance to enjoy ballet and dance lessons alongside their friends. Volunteers support the children within the dance classes.
- If you are interested in joining or just want to find out more, follow us on social media and come to one of our upcoming events...
