WORLD CUPS (Working paediatricians Overseeing Research Led and Delivered by Cardiff University Paediatric Society) was founded in November 2019 with an aim to encourage research within paediatrics and child health in Wales. We currently have 23 projects in progress involving 28 healthcare students from both Cardiff and Swansea Medical Schools. We also have 15 supervisors, who are all paediatric healthcare professionals in South Wales. 
 
Our Success Stories 
World CUPS has encouraged both students and clinicians to work together to promote child health: students have gained experience and confidence within research and professionals have been supported with their workload.

• One publication in Archives Diseases of Childhood (British Medical Journal)
• Four national and one international presentations 
• Two podcasts 
• And lots of fantastic medical education resources for parents/carers, healthcare settings and schools around South Wales

 
Overall WORLD CUPS has been a huge success. We would like to continue this project in hope that we encourage more students and healthcare professionals to work together in order to produce articles, publications and presentations.
